To travel with your dogs in Sweden from EU countries, it must have a European passport and be vaccinated against rabies (dogs over 3 months of age must be vaccinated, with a 21-day delay between vaccination and border crossing). If you're traveling with several dogs, you'll need to contact your local prefecture to obtain the TRACES file.
As far as your vacation destination is concerned, Swedish regulations are very strict when it comes to accepting dogs. If dogs are not allowed in the house, it is forbidden to keep them at stake-out, except when leaving for training or racing. Electrified nets are not permitted. Only kennels are allowed. This must meet precise standards, with a sufficiently large, insulated kennel and an observation terrace.
If the accommodation allows holidaymakers to bring their dogs, it must offer a specific and adapted space for animals, in accordance with Swedish legislation.
Failure to comply with these rules can result in fines, or even imprisonment in serious cases. In the most serious cases, animals may be placed in detention, and a ban on keeping or caring for animals may be imposed.
For a peaceful vacation, and in order to respect your dogs, we advise you to choose accommodation that complies with standards, as is the case at our camp. After all, your vacation should be as enjoyable for your dogs as it is for you!
